Russian menuFor Russians backed in the oven food, rich food- soups (soļanka, rasoļniks, and sauerkraut soup), casseroles, various breadstuffs. In nutrition Russians use a lot of pickled vegetables- cabbages, cucumbers, beets, mushrooms. Of the breadstuff Russians prefer rye-bread which they eat at every meal time. Very common and favourite meals are pancakes, dumplings and various pies. In the influence of religious traditions there is a habit to eat both very poor food (during the fast) and very fat food after the fast. The national drink is tea which they drink with jam or sugar. They drink tea both after the meal and during the meal. Bread kvass is popular which they use a refreshing drink. |
