Italian menuItalians love various breadstuff- various pastas, noodles that are eaten together with fish, meat, vegetables and cheese. The food is cooked with lot of spices - garlic, bay leaves, marjoram, nutmeg, cinnamon etc. It is common also to use rice and millet which is combined with peas, mushrooms, meat, fish and vegetables. Of the seafood fish, crustaceans and mollusks are much used. In the nutriment there is a variety of vegetables and fruits (tomatoes, artichokes, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, celery, green peas, onions, almonds, chestnuts, melons, figs, oranges, mandarins, lemons, grapefruits, grapes). Very popular are different aromatic cheeses. |
