Dilly Macaroni Salad1 cup elbow macaroni 1 cup cubed American cheese (4 ounces) 1/2 cup sliced celery 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 3 tablespoons chopped pimiento 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing 1 tablespoon vinegar 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried dillweed Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain well. Cool. Combine macaroni, cheese cubes, celery, green pepper, and pimiento. Blend together mayonnaise or salad dressing, vinegar, salt, and dillweed; add to macaroni mixture. Toss lightly. Cover and chill well. Serve salad in lettuce-lined bowl, if desired. Makes 6 servings. |
